HELP!!! Something wrong with voice input... PLEASE READ!

When during a phone conversation, they can't hear me unless I turn on my speaker, everything goes mute when it's not on speaker or has a headphone w/ a microphone built in. Please help me with this problem, it's really getting frustrating.
