Hello,

What application do I have to use to convert a streaming video into a file in my Mac? Is it possible?

Thanks.

Depends on the source, as there are many stream file formats out there.

You need to be more specific.

Are you talking about YouTube maybe?

No. I am talking about MTV site (episodes from TV shows).

Thanks.

I thought Safari's Activity window could help, but the video doesn't appear.

Also Firefox's add-on Video DownloadHelper does not help.

Also using MRoogle and Google brings up nothing about saving MTV videos.

You could try Snapz Pro and record the portion of your screen, but as the Flash video on that page is quite CPU taxing, it might not work properly.

Have you looked into the iTunes Store and searched for episodes there?

iTunes Store does not have these videos with subtitles (portuguese) like MTV site...
:(
