Help, switching to different txt message contacts

Alright, so I tapped the screen of my iPhone 4 in such a way, while writing a txt message, that it hid the top bar which allows you to go back from your current conversation to your main message screen, selecting other conversations. I can't figure out how to get it back.... The only way I can get to different txt message conversations is by going through the contacts list first. Any help guys?

Have you tried restarting your iPhone yet? If that doesn't work try tapping the top bar of your iPhone where the time is. Sometimes the scroll feature can get stuck, preventing you from scrolling to the top. Tapping the top bar automatically scrolls to the very top of the page.
