My iPhone was previously sync'd to a windows PC that I no longer have access to. I now have a Macbook Pro that i want to sync my iPhone to.

I have backed up and also sync'd my contacts, calendar, bookmarks and notes, so I know i can't lose them.

I am now wanting to sync my music. I have authorised my new macbook.
I have downloaded all music purchases to iTunes, and created a new library to replace the one on my phone, so losing the music on my iPhone won't matter as it's already all in my new one.

When I click on "my iPhone" on the left in iTunes, then click on the 'music' tab and then check 'sync music' a message comes up "Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on the iPhone “iPhone” will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library." That's fine, as I said before I have a complete new library to replace my old one. I click 'sync music'.

Then when I click on 'apply', a new message comes up saying "The iPhone “iPhone” is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?" "An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."

Will this erase the entire contents of my iPhone, or will this just erase my library? Will this erase Settings and app settings? Since I haven't sync'd my apps, will they be erased? I know i can re-download apps again, but the main thing is just settings and arrangement of apps.
