Help...tethering used to work...and stopped

Hope someone has an idea:

I started tethering with my iPhone on my iMac and it worked great. I use USB because Bluetooth doesn't work (even post update). My iPhone,when docked said tethering work (a blue light showing tehhtering on) and even the mac tell me there is nothing wrong with the connection after analysis. But if i open safari or my email, nothing goes through!

Anybody with an idea ? I didn't change a thing in my setting and it just stopped working.
