Help the Newbie - vmware security question

I bought my first Mac about a month ago. Just installed vmware fusion, primarily to use MS Money. What type of security will I need to perform the internet updates in MS Money? MSMoney connects to my banks to download transaction info. I'm using Airport with a wpa connection. Anything special I need to do to protect my data?

Treat your VMWare guest OS (such as Windows) as effectively another machine running beside your Mac OS. Although OSX will provide some protection (providing you have your VMWare networking set to NAT), you still need to ensure that the Windows installation is kept up to date via WindowsUpdate.com. You should also run some form of anti-virus or anti-malware program in Windows to prevent keyloggers and the like from installing (Comodo is a good free one).
