Hi all

I've just noticed in my rush to get my imac up & running I spelt my name wrong! I've tried to change it to my proper name, but can't see how too??

I have enclosed a pic so you can see what I mean, it's the name under applications in the finder menu under places

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

click on the folder once then hit Return.
You can then type the correct name.

There used to be an application that helped change the user name. It worked well under Tiger when I used it a couple of times, but I don't know if it was ever updated for newer versions of Mac OS X.

As swiftaw says, the easiest way would be to create a new User account (making sure it's an admin one), transfer over any personal files, emails, etc. You could then just delete the incorrect account.
