I was updating a few apps via the app program on the touch
when the screen froze, i waited five minutes, hit the reset button,

and now it only loads to the apple logo
when I plug it in it pops up as a new hardware, Apple Ipod
but goes no further, itunes doesn't recognize it

How do I Reformat it, or Restore it if I can't get Itunes to Recognize it or get it past the Apple Logo

Thanks

If the Touch is frozen at the Apple logo try resetting (hold home and sleep buttons down at the same time) with the USB cable attached. If you have a Firewire power cable even better.

I've found that a lot of times when my iPods freeze up and can't reset it's a power issue.

Yeah I've tried resetting it many times, and i've charged it
its still stuck at the logo, no matter how many times i reset it

so i'm thinking the Operating system is corrupted,

how do i wipe it clean, and re-install?

okay, it happened again
I am never updating an app via the app wifi store...
its too much of a hassel to reformat the touch everytime it crashes

hopefully they will fix this in 2.1

Same problem

My ipod touch is frozen in restore mode. I tried doing a restore from iTunes and got an error, and since then it's been frozen in restore mode. I tried resetting a dozen times...any help would be great..
