Hi, some water may have gotten into my macbook retina's trackpad , my hands were a bit damp and all of a sudden, the trackpad was very irratic, the mouse would move a bit, but than stop, same as the buttons, sometimes would work but other times not. I than tried a usb mouse and it's just the same. Works a bit, than stops.
Than tried bootcamp into Windows 8 and its still the same problem . Is it a hardware or software issue ?

I turned off my macbook retina for now in case I got water into the trackpad. I'm hoping that the water would evaporate if there is any inside. If not though, what is the reason ?

Wet hands on a trackpad will make it jitter like that. However if you dried your hands and the trackpad and it is still doing that I would think it is more water damage.
