iPod Help transferring music from iPod

My Mac was recently stolen, and though most of it was backed up, I did lose some music files that are on my iPod. I now have a new iMac and need to get some of the music off the iPod back into iTunes. I did this years ago with an Applescript program, but was wondering what the new 'preferred' method is now. Thanks!

I too am wondering how to do this... Did you find an answer anywhere else? I googled it and found ImToo iPod to Mac... But it's $30... My hard drive is lost & couldn't retreave any data
