Hi,
I decided to use TriTag (ID3 music tagging automation software) to rename a whole lot of files. I hadn't used it before because I'd never had a need to rename a large batch at once.
After dragging my files to the 'drag & drop' window, I wrote in a pattern (for how the program should interpret the songs ID3 data and rename the files) and clicked Apply. An alert box appeared saying no data existed in the files' ID3 tags and then all the files disappeared from the drag & drop list as well as from the original file directory. Where did they go?
I later realised I had written the pattern incorrectly, but surely this wouldn't have caused the files to be deleted?
