Hi guys,

I installed a tweak tonight (can't remember the name - it was to organise notifications in lock screen and NC) and now my jailbreak doesn't start after reboot! I get the spinning white wheel and it just keeps spinning until the phone reboots but without jailbreak.

What can I do to overcome this? Or have I now lost my jailbreak?

Reboot your phone while holding the up volume button. And once I’m safe mode you can go into Cydia and remove the tweak

Thanks mate. Just tried it a few times but it doesn't go into safe mode. Could this be because the device can't jailbreak in the first place?

If you can get into safe mode. You can get into Cydia.

Have you tried to re-jb. With the app on your phone

Update: In a panic I hit YouTube to make sure I was carrying out your method correctly. I was, but it just wasn't working for me. But I found this tip and it seems to have worked a treat:

"In normal (un-jailbroken) mode, open the jailbreak app, click the circle, and make sure to hold down the Volume Up button, then lock the phone. You can release the volume up button when it begins to respring".

I was beginning to plan to live the rest of my [iphone] life like a shnook ;-) (what film did I steal most of that line from???

Medenblik thanks for your help dude. Appreciate it :)

OP is using a semi-untethered jailbreak (OP mentioned Yalu, which is a semi-untethered jailbreak). Your instructions are correct, but only apply to jailbreaks that are fully untethered such as the ones for iOS 9.1 and below.

OP. You want to follow these instructions but IMMEDIATELY after running the Yalu app. It may be a bit tricky.

Thanks dude. I did and it worked.

What a relief :)
