Help understanding XGrid

Okay I noticed XGrid in the System Preferences, and after doing some homework I see that basically it allows multiple computers to share processing power to perform a job.

My question is, how usable is this for a home user, and how do I go about setting this up if I want to?

There are no "home user" uses for it.

The most "consumer" app that I know of that uses it is Final Cut Pro.
