anyway i have an iphone 4 (at&t) with jailbreak from jailbreakme.com (the first one).

if i connect to my itunes and restore. (backing up first of course), i would only lose my jailbroken apps right?

paid app store apps, yes and your contacts, yes. Make sure you back up prior to upgrading to iOS5.
