Help Unlocking iPhone 4 version 4.3.5

Hey everyone I know i can search this but there is just so many topics on it and they all have different ways and it really confuses me.

I just got an iphone 4s and and am giving my iphone 4 to my dad. He is gonna take it to India so I need to unlock it for him but have not idea how and from the youtube videos I have watched i am more confused now.

What is the best way to unlock it? dont care for jailbreak but i will if i need to.

It is an AT&T iPhone 4 firmware 4.3.5

You can't software unlock with that firmware (unless you've preserved your baseband, which it doesn't sound like).

Your only option is the Gevey Ultra unlock.

so Gevey is the only option? only thing wrong with Gevey is that it looks like you have to repeat the process once in awhile.

if anyone knows of another option please let me know.
