I burned a music CD using mp3 formats and they don't work on my new CD player which does play mp3's. So I popped it back into my computer and I can't edit the files because I do not have sufficiant privlages. Anyway to unlock these files?

yeah on my CD. and it says i dont have privilages to edit. and the little menu is locked for me to change it to read and write.

edit files already burt on to the cd? or on your mac?

Umm, how about burn a new CD. You can't edit anything on a CD. Or copy the files back to your HDD. You sure the format of the files you burned are MP3? Are they DRMed? What new CD player did you get?

Yeah cause you cannot edit a CD. That's what ROM stand for in CD-ROM (read only memory)

Oh ok. But why doesn't it work on my music player, or my DVD player. The song names are there but it doesn't play. The player just stays at 0:00 and skips the songs.

I vote that you burned files that aren't mp3's. Or have DRM (did you burn songs bought on iTunes?). And you haven't given us any info on what hardware you're trying to play this disc on.
