Hi again :)

My iPhone 3GS arrived yesterday, and now I want to Jailbreak it (in v4.3.1 already).
After a while I found redsn0w, and also a tutorial "How to Jailbreak".

However, when phone gets "Download Jailbreak Data" screen program just crashes and closes itself. I've tried to search on the Web and here, but I don't get a solution.

What should I do?
My computer is a Windows Vista Ultimate, Security Center disabled (impossible to re-enable).

PS: When I put it in XP/95 compatibility mode, when I click in Ok tab closes normally, but then appears the following:
"Windows Program Reporting" has stopped working.

Thanks in advance ;)

Did you actually install the latest version of iTunes? I think most of the jailbreaks often rely on it being installed.

I've been having the same problem and was pointed to the following link when seeking help on a different forum:

If you don't want to follow the link, here is the relevant text:

UPDATE 1 (Windows 7 users): redsn0w may crash for some users running Windows 7. To get around freezing and crashing of redsn0w, right click on redsn0w.exe and then click on “Properties”. Switch to “Compatibility” tab and make sure you check “Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)”. Now simply start the application by right clicking on the .exe file and then click on “Run as administrator”. This should solve your problem on Windows 7.

I haven't been home to try yet, so I can't say if it will work, but it has certainly given me hope.

ETA: Nevermind, just noticed that you're not on Windows 7. Sorry.
