I updated my iPhone 6S Plus to iOS version 18.7.2 and now it won't connect to my internet (WiFi). There's no problem with my iPads connecting (but they're on iPadOS26). It's just the phone that fails to connect. (And it was fine before updating.)

I'm thinking that the update changed some setting(s), but I haven't been able to straighten this out.

Open to suggestions to try to get my internet connectivity back.

Thanks!

Try going to settings > reset settings. After doing that, you will need to enter your WiFi into again etc.
Could you be more specific, please? I don't see an option to "reset settings" under "settings" (or anywhere else for that matter).

And if/when I find and try it, will there be other thing s to reset besides WiFi?

Thanks again for your patience with me.

Go to settings menu, general and then down the bottom in there will be transfer or reset iphone, you will have 2 options, reset or erase iphone, choose reset and then select reset network settings.

As said above you will have to find and add your WiFi again inserting password.

How did you get iOS 18 on your iPhone 6S Plus? iOS 18 is not supported on iPhone 6S Plus.
Hmmm.... You may be right. Now I'm not sure about the exact model. Model Name under "About" says "iPhone SE". I hope that answers your question.

That worked. Thanks!
