Help upgrading iphone (itunes error) :(

-iPhone 4, running original iOS 4.0.1 (never updated)
-jailbroken
-updated to latest itunes 10 mins ago (using win xp, fwiw)
-clicked the option on itunes to update to iOS 5.1 (don't care for jailbreak)
-itunes took 5 mins to download the software update, and then it gave me: An unknown error occured, error 3194

What am I doing wrong?
