Hi;

I am trying to help a colleague upgrade their Macbook by adding more RAM and poss a new HDD. Its a White Macbook mid 2010 and he has given me the specs of his macbook which are:

Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA Geforce 320M 256 MB
Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)

And according to the serial number the link to the specs is here: http://support.apple.com/kb/SP584

Couple of questions:

1. Will this model accept 2 x 4GB DIMMS?
2. Will it accept this RAM without any firmware update if not what do I need to do?
3. If he has a 250GB HDD can anyone recommend a larger replacement?
4. He has already upgraded the OS and that's probably why the poor old machine has slowed down somewhat.

Thanks

1.Yes
2.No updates needed

Personally, I would go with an SSD, but since you said greater than 250GB that would get pricey.
