As you know that Perian plugins has the FLV support, so Quicktime can play FLV (flash video) with very low CPU like 8%-15%. (Adobe flash plugins V10 using CPU like 80%-120% on my MBP 2.4GHz, 4GB Ram, 256MB 9600M)

So, I just wondering that if I could use Perian + Quicktime to play FLV inside Safari like flash plugins does. I mean go to YouTube, click the video, and Safari use Quicktime to play that FLV video instead of using Flash plugins.

Anyone has any idea about that?

Thanks a lot.

P.S. this post shows how to play FLV in Quicktime window.
