hey, my friend has the 17 inch mac book pro (non unibody) and he has had some problems with it and one serious one that happened last night. He had to get the logic board replaced twice and this time when he got it back, everytime he would unplug his computer from the magnasafe it would cut off. Then he woke up this morning and the battery actaully expanded out of its case... lucky nothing terrible happened. Does anyone know what could be causing this, just a bad battery? Something not put back together right after the logic board replacement?

stop using it RIGHT NOW.
battery expansion qualifies for a free replacement.
