Help viewing photos

Hi all,

I got a 16gb wifi ipad2. I don't want the photos to be imported into the ipad. I have my photos in my external hard drive connected to my macbook. I also have pics on picasaweb which i can access through safari etc.

Now can I view these pics without having them on my ipad. I want to show it to my friends and want it be able to use the photoframe or atleast show those pics in good quality, and the magical ipad experience how it shows up in the photo apps.

Since I don't want to load it on my ipad space constraints and also its a one or two time thing that I will be needing it to show to my friends. I was hoping to find a way around this.

I created an account on dropbox and downloaded my pictures from picasa web albums smaller size and dropped it in dropbox on my MacBook and opened dropbox on iPad and downloaded the pics on my iPad.

However when I was on dropbox on my iPad the app crashed many times has this happened to anyone else as well.
