Help w/ 3rd Party Apps

Hey all. I posted about another thread asking about an app for a specific function and when one was suggested I downloaded it only to have it crash upon opening. Naturally I deleted it.

I just downloaded Pedometer++ for the step count complication and it's doing the same thing. The complication is just a blank spot on my watch face.

I've restarted my phone and the watch. Is there a step I'm missing here?

ETA: CNN, Amazon, Outlook, Wunderground all crash on opening. Todo, Instagram, and CloudMagic open fine.

Are Todo, Instagram and CloudMagic all native apps? Meaning, when you open them, is the name in the middle or is the name in the upper left corner (native)?
