Hey guys. I have a Macbook, and the 13.3" screen is fine for the most part. However, it is kinda small, and I'd like something bigger to hook it up to when I'm at home.

I don't need anything amazing. I'm obviously not gaming with my MB, and I don't need super accurate colors. However, I don't want to get stuck with a POS. My mom gotta the Black Friday ads, and asked if there was anything I want from them for Christmas. That's when I ran into this 19" Samsung LCD widescreen, for only $129, normally $249. Is this a pretty decent/good monitor for me?

Also, I already bought a Mini-DVI -> DVI cable for my MB several weeks ago on the cheap when my Compusa went out of business. Is there anything else I'll need? I noticed that this monitor used DVI-D. Is that compatible with my computer?

Thanks for all opinions.

Samsung makes goo stuff. Should be fine.

I saw the 19" LG widescreen LCD on bestbuy's site, and that looked like a good monitor too. It was $219 though.

All right, thanks guys.

I think I'll get there about a half hour before they open, and hope for the best. They say minimum 10 per store, and I have to wonder how many people go hunting for monitors (instead of TVs) on BF...

Wish me luck!

get an external anyways. having 2 screens is awesome. i cant imagine really just using one anymore

speaking from experience, i have a lg widescreen flatron (2000:1 contrast and 5ms response and dvi, vga and tv compatible) and it is great. paid like 220 for it
