I need to find out how to install another 256mb of ram into my powerbook, as it currently has a 256mb of ram and I want to upgrade and add another 256mb of ram in the open slot. Is this possible and how do I install it myself. HELP!!! thanks, b.

buy the appropriate sodimm card, turnoff and unplug your PB, unscrew the four screws on the back, remove the panel, put the ram in the open slot, screw the panel back on, turn on your PB, done.

There's a few different kinds of sodimms that the G4 PBs have used, (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14870) so you'll have to check to see which one would be correct for your specific PB

**EDIT**
I'm guessing it will be either PC2100 or PC2700
