So my current MacBook Pro Early 2013 w/ 8GB of Ram and 256SSD is dying and getting extremely slow. I currently only use my computer at a desk hooked up to a 4k monitor with a keyboard and mouse.

I am looking to upgrade and am stuck between 2 computers the Mac Mini w/ i7 16GB of Ram and 512GB SSD ($1699.99) and the Mac Pro 16GB of Ram and 256GB SSD (2999.99).

I also could go for the MacBook Pro which is 1999.99 and just use it with a monitor like I am doing now. It comes with 16GB of Ram and a 256GB SSD.

I currently am only streaming tv from the device, word documents, excel, very light photoshop, internet browsing, some light video editing (rarely), and more normal daily things. I am not making music, doing heavy video editing, or coding.

I want to get the Mac Pro but I really think it will be overkill for what I am going to be doing. I plan on using this as my main computer and buying a MacBook Air if I decide to start actually bringing my laptop anywhere if I decide to get a desktop.
