[help w/ safari on iPhone 3g] my history deletes itself!

This happens randomly, maybe biweekly.
My history in safari on my iPhone 3g will one day completely clear itself out.
I don't do it because I don't have a need to clear it. Also, I wouldn't have a chance if I wanted to.

Why does this happen like clockwork?
I am the only one who uses my iphone.
I count on my history being there and most of the time after collecting for a
few days it will just disappear.

Is it tied in to some setting?

It happens to me too. Why does the history delete it self. Hello apple or att. Whats going on. I trust the security of apple - mine is not jail broken. It only started to happen this year. Has my device been hacked?

Anybody else have this problem?

I'm having the same issue on my iPad. I can't seem to figure it out. The history will delete itself daily. What is going on? Can anyone enlighten me on this issue?
