HELP - Warcraft TFT on eMac

I sold my friends my eMac, and he is having a problem with Warcraft 3. Now, I own it too, and have reinstalled it and downloaded patch on the machine so many times over the years. Now, when he installs the latest patch, it says TFT could not be opened. Anyone have a solution? Could using my discs fix the problem? Regular Warcraft 3 still works after patched.

it could be any number of things. Did you reinstall the OS when you sold it to him?

Nope, patching problem. Since Apple went Intel, Blizzard had to change the file structure or something. You cannot update to the latest version from a fresh install. What you need to do it:

1. Install RoC then FT.
2. Clean update to 1.21 (1.xx to 1.21)
3. Update from 1.21 to 1.23

If you follow that order, you should be able to run FT.
