I just finished installing my new right fan because the old one was making a screeching noise after about two hours of use. After the replacement, when I started my computer up again, I noticed that the blue screen prior after the apple screen looked a bit wavy. When the desktop came up there were weird red artifacts and now everything looks somewhat low res with reddish and bluish streaking lines across the screen. Text seems ok but pictures are grainy and have a moire look to them. USB, sound, keyboard, trackpad, hard drive, left and new right fan, light sensor, and power work fine. Firewire is dead, but this is an existing logic board problem that i've had for a long time and battery is on the fritz even before this screen issue.
I feel like when I replaced my left fan a year back, I had a similar problem until I reattached the white connector adjacent to the left fan. I noticed that it seems easier to attach than it was to detach this second time around. Could the looseness be causing the problem?
Can any one help with my now ugly screen quality?
