On the road
Hi guys,

I'm really stumped on this one. Done all the Christmas shopping, just my little brother (recently Mac-converted) is impossible to buy for. If I had the money, I'd buy him an iPod Touch or something similar. But my budget is around €30 (£20, $40-ish).

It's a really hard age to buy for, is 14...

Thanks for any suggestions :D

Don't scare me like that with your false conversion rate to the dollar. It'd be more like a little less than $30 ;)

But for a 14-year old boy who recently switched to the Mac - how about a nicer mouse? Or buy a license to a cool app or screensaver. Or a video game if he has a console.

Or how about a coupon for 5 free hugs :D

Has he got an iPod? If so get him iPod socks.

I got my 14 y/o brother (recent mac convert) an OS X release T-shirt which I got off the forum. Just don't tell him..

Thanks guys - that's very helpful :)

Got his pressie sorted. Won't tell you what it was, incase he's watching. But I will say it wasn't the Playboy or Mac Pro :p Sorry(!)

Merry Christmas to all!

give him a macrumors account?

then he can spam useless threads about the ipod touch not having a speaker or how he loves to skateboard in "da mall"

nothing personal, i just hate kids :D

Best gift for a teenage boy (aside from beer and porn, previously mentioned): getting his parents out of town for a weekend so he can throw a party. Not much to open on Christmas morning, but he'll certainly thank you after the party.

P.S. Are the iPod socks still sold?
