#1 looks the best to me. The leather looks nicer than the others for some reason, and I like the cut around the laces. Can't speak to how comfortable it would be, since I'm not a guy and have therefore never worn men's dress shoes... but I can attest that beauty is often painful. ;)

#1 or 3 would be my choice. If you do like any of the others, and prefer noisy shoes, you can always have a shoemaker add a heal saver to them. It is a metal cleat nailed to the heal of the shoe. Will serve 2 purposes for you. Will make noise and save your heals. And if you are really good, you might even be able to then tap dance as well.

Of the brands listed I've only had Cole Haan and they've always been very comfortable and long lasting.

The CKs look nice and have a wooden heal. They also have a rubber insert in the rear of the heal for easy repair. If you like the idea of making a sound as you walk, you can always have some of that rubber (or part of it) replaced by a metal heal protector (Blakey is the usual brand in the UK). Then you'll really make a click clack as you go, will also make your heals last much longer if you're going to do a lot of walking.

I don't have a pair myself, but I always see Allen Edmonds recommended.

I just checked them out myself and they're amazing, but outta my price range. As well as, these John Vartatos I somewhat dig:

I just came back from the mall and hunting through a couple of different shops and yet this thread seems more relevant than all those stores combined. I couldn't find anything great in person so will probably bite the bullet on #1 but I'm still going through different options.

Thanks for the input thus far!

You could try Banana Republic as well. They have 40% off everything through today. No idea if their shoes are any good or not, but I'd imagine they would be on par with what you are looking at.
