My wonerful step mum gave me some cash for my B-Day - what should I get - (I don't like just dumping gift money into an account, I like to tell the people what I did with the loot).

If it were me, I'd choose the Nano - purely because it will provide you with many hours of entertainment. The other things would probably be more practical, but not as much fun (expect for maybe the iSight)
 
I would say the iPod Nano, seems more worth for the money in this group (if you still don't have an iPod)
 
Me, I would go for the Nano as I'm not a photographer ;)

The iSight could be the gift that just keeps giving, especially if you have family members who use iChat as well...
 
I would go with the nano.

I think the iSight's may be updated soon, since the built in one's supposedly have a higher rez than the firewire one's.

The other stuff is for work, therefore I would spend work related money on it.

Not money given as a gift, you need to gift yourself with that money.

But eh, thats just what I would do. :D
 
Another vote for the nano... shocking, hey...?

And let me complement you on an excellent thread title... it must be the best named poll so far this year... :D :p
 
I have to say Nano...think how nice it will be for your training that your doing ;)
iSight if you don't have some type of web cam/camcorder and then the case. Great idea to keep things safely stored and organized.
Most of all have fun spending the gift money :D
 
I voted case..

Mainly because with the addition of some Shady-Dealings Sunglasses

I got the case and the leveling base.

The panorama thing is a big project right now, and I already have three pods, so a nano would have been stupid. None of my peeps use video chat, so the iSight would have been useless.

I actually did the adult thing. :eek:

I give you props on getting the case, Ha I just got a new job making 370 a week, and im only 18. My credit card bill is way high right now but I will probably do the dumb thing and spend my first two checks on the new Tmobile MDA Vario PDA phone. yea im dumb.

Free advice:

Learn to NOT use credit now. If you don't have the cash, you cannot affod it.

Alternately, to build your credit up, use your credit card to buy something you know you can afford and then pay it off immediately.

Having good credit will make your life immensely easier later. Having bad credit OR NO CREDIT will make it more difficult.

Been there, done that got a t-shirt for it about 15 years ago.

He speaks truth. ;)

Anyway, I can't wait to get my case! It won't be something I carry around on vacation, but will strap to my bike - great for riding around town in the morning taking shots.
 
Get the case. Save the toys for the next occasion. Tote your equipment in style.

Even though Mac gadgets are fun to have and show off, you'll smile to yourself when you have the case. And getting what will make YOU happy is what's important.

Do you have the full rig to rotate the camera around the nodal point? Or is that the next step?
