I only have an hour to decide as apple are calling me back.

I currently have a Mid 2012 13" MBP (Lowest of the range)

Apple are issuing me with a replacement.

I can either go for the current MBP 13" (£899) or go for a retina MBP 13" (£999) although I have to pay £100 towards the latter.

I am a little concerned about the flash drive, I know it's faster but worry I can't fit all my stuff on it. Is it possible to replace this part and get more storage?

My other option is to go for either, sell as new and by the new Macbook!

Decisions!

You can't replace the SSD, but for the retina display, weight and other improvements (802.11ac, way better iGPU and also battery life), the 100 quid is worth it for the downgrade in storage capacity, because you can always just use an external drive.

With an SSD in there, it'll just take 8 seconds to boot up from a cold shutdown, and apps launch instantly.

Fab. Might sound like a weird Q but can I store by iPhotos on an external HD?

That's what I do. I just point Photos (iPhoto is known by this name now) to open the library in my external drive.

Fabulous! I'll just do that then as I barely use my phones so makes sense I just keep essentials on new laptop. I'm so excited!
