All iPads [Help] Which used iPad is reasonably good option

Looking to buy used iPad 2/3 around range of 200-250$ for my 4 year old.

Could you guys help deciding if I should go for iPad 2 (which has 512mb RAM) or iPad 3 (1GB RAM).

I see in iOS 7 forum that for some reason iPad 3 is not so well working with iOS 7 compared to iPad 2

Alas, I've already given my iPad 2 to my grandmother but back when I owned both the iPad 2 and 3 (on iOS 5), the 2 just felt more responsive compared to the 3. Don't really know how both perform on iOS 7.

Either one would be fine for a four-year-old. Go cheap.

I have a 3rd gen on iOS 7 and I haven't had any problems at all.
