HELP!! why cant i join a wireless network on iphone??

i see my home wireless router "airport" under wifi in settings i am trying to join and when i try to enter in my password and try to click on the "join" button on the lower right corner , it wont let me push the button and the button is not highlighted...

It won't let you press join until you have entered the correct number of characters/digits for that access point's level of encryption. You've got something setup wrong, or the wrong password.
