I am looking to put in a 1 TB hard drive into my macbook.
Does anyone know if i need a hard drive with higher RPMs than what I already have with my present hard drive (5400 RPMs)? or can i still use 5400rpms?
I have looked online for some answer but really didnt get any answers.

Thanks for any help.

I believe most of the 1TB drives are gonna run at 5400 or 5200. It won't affect your computer at all, perhaps just a little slower. But the problem is that your computer won't be able to fit it unless you get the new Samsung 1tb drive that is 9.5mm whereas currently they are 12mm
