I've got a 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2006 model) that's still in good working order (extra RAM, got a new hard drive last year, just got a new battery) however it has one issue that bugs the crap out of me...
A few months ago my dog accidentally stepped on the keyboard and her nail ripped off the up arrow key and then she all too quickly ate the plaster lever that goes under the key. So for the past few months I've been having to push on the little rubber button to push the up arrow. I can't remember, but I think I threw away the key itself once I realized I didn't have all the parts.
I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on the best way to fix the key. Is there a good way to get either a replacement key or do I need to get an entire replacement keyboard? Where's the best place to get either one? How hard is it to replace to keyboard myself?
Thanks for any info anybody might have!
