I had to reinstall OSX and reset my preferences from scratch. Now all my PDFs automatically open in Apple's Preview. I prefer they open in Acrobat. Is there a preference I can set? Could you point me to it?

Another issue: When I click on Desktop & Screen Saver in the System Preferences it immediately quits. This doesn't happen with anything else. I've verified and repaired permissions. Is there something I'm missing? A .plist I need to trash?

Thanks.

Sherry,

Currently running 10.3 (updating to 10.3.5 as I post) on a G5.

highlight any PDF document icon - it should show preview icon, right?

hit apple-i and info screen will pop up. under one of the tabs is "open with." pick Acrobat in the "Open with" part, then hit "Change All..."

the document now should have acrobat as icon now...

can't help you with the other question. sorry...
