Help with adjusting application viewing size on Vmware windows

I am running Vmware with windows 7 and it works fine with one exception. There are some programs I run that I am not able to see the entire program on the screen either in full screen or other wise. I realize that you can navigate the program on the screen using the sliding bars at the bottom and right side but, I still can't see all of the information on the program I need to. Is there a way to adjust the size of the program on he screen.
