Help with Airport Extremes

Ok, so I have 2 Time Capsules, each with its own cable modem connection to the internet. I'd like to set them up so the wireless and DHCP is disabled on one of them but still have it available to use as a gateway if i want. when I plug them into the same subnet they both fight over 10.0.1.1 and nothing works. Is there any way to manually set an IP on this stupid thing? I can't seem to find any way to have connection sharing on and get the router to accept any other IP than .1 If I set the 2nd one up to extend the network on the first one it will take a DHCP address from the first Time Capsule but then I can't use its internet connection.
