I have been trying to fix my brothers iPhone 4. I put it into dfu mode and am trying to restore it. I keep getting this error issue, I have tried it on a few different Macs. I went into more information but couldn't figure anything out.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

What firmware are you trying to restore to?

If it's anything lower than 4.3.3, then Apple won't sign it unless you have blobs from Cydia.

Try downloading the firmware and doing a DFU restore and then restoring your data from backup?
