Help with an LC 590

One of my mother's friends owns a LC 580 33 Mhz 8Mb RAM running OS 7.5.3. She complains that her printer doesn't work well, an Epson 500 Color. I'm not sure how to help her since a new printer won't support her computer, she's not willing to buy a new Mac (expensive) and I don't want her to buy a PC. Doing some research I think it supports up to OS 8.1 but I'm not sure if it will help her at all.
Please help me to find a solution to this.

i think you should seriously tell her its time to get a new machine. why not a second hand g3 imac or something?

I'll try, however, second hand Macs are rather hard to get in Mexico... maybe with some persuasion I'll get her to buy an eMac
