So here's the deal: I set up my Gmail account in Apple Mail as POP. Now that Gmail offers IMAP, how can I switch the account type without deleting all of my emails saved onto my computer? I'm pretty sure the all my emails are backed-up, but I'm just not sure how to "re-load" them if I set up a new account on Apple Mail. Any advise?

So you are saying there are emails that you deleted from the GMail server that are in your mail.app that you don't want to lose?

Okay, add a new account, set it up for IMAP Gmail. Then when it is set up, copy all the mails from your POP account to your IMAP account in mail.app.

Then, delete your POP account from mail.app

ok, what is the best/easiest way to to copy my messages from POP -> IMAP account? Should I do it through the Library folder in finder?

Thanks for the help all. Sometimes I over-think things and forget how easy it is to organize MacOS!
