We upgraded to the new Apple TV box, which sadly has an absurd search "bar" which massively slows down the search function by forcing you to spend half an hour moving from A to Z up and down the entire alphabet. Very bad design, but randomly, the old search "grid" appears, where the alphabet is in a box. This enables hugely faster searching. Unfortunately, it seems to disappear and reappear randomly. If anyone knows how to get rid of the ridiculous ABCDEFGHIJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZ search bar and get the box grid back, I, and I'm certain, thousands of others, will be very grateful.

or just hold the siri button and dictate, much faster than typing even on in the grid.
for passwords and such, I'll use the keyboard on my phone, which has the added bonus of being tied to my password manager, so I can normally log in with a couple clicks, and no typing.
Not sure how long it's been since I actually entered text using the aTV's on screen keyboard.
