I'm using an app that let's you save the chat history in iCloud. The data is about 33mb and I can see the app in my iPhone storage management area.

I'm using the same app on my iPad. The developer says that this feature is handy for when you want to install the app again.

So I was thinking that because the app's chat history is in the iCloud it should've automatically updated that app when I installed it on my iPad. But it didn't.

So I'm thinking the iPad has to be restored from the iPhone backup? If so this is ridiculous because i don't want my iPad to mirror my iPhone.

Should I go into the iPad's storage management area and do something?

The best way would be if the app had a "restore from iCloud backup" feature within the app but it doesn't. It only lets you SAVE a backup to iCloud.

What should I do?

p.s. yes I also emailed the dev. Still waiting………...
