Hi
I'm using El Captain
I'm trying to use autofs to make sure that my NAS get reconnected automatically not only during the login phase (it can be done using login itens), but in the case it gets disconnect because of maintenance or power failure.
The thing is... Normally I map the network drive by using the sidebar on finder and clicking on the server and the share. I gives me a nice icon on the desktop and also it I look at the device layer I can see the drive there.
When I use autofs it tries to create a folder, maps the drive, but it never shows up in the desktop nor at devices. The only way to use it is to navigate down to the folder and clicking on it. It is not so different as an alias. What am I doing wrong ? How can I map the drive and make it appear on the desktop as it does via login itens or click on the share ?
