Help with Backing up game save data..

Hi, i'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.3. I'm installing a new hard drive on my Macbook Pro and I want to back up my save data from a few games that I'm playing. Where would I find the save data to copy onto an external.

FYI, Time Machine is not an option for me as my current external isn't formatted correctly.
