Hi,

Have a bizarre Mail.app issue reported by a client of the company I work for. Not sure of the OS X version he has, but he is definitely using Mail.app.

An e-mail was sent by one of my company's founding partners to this client. We use Outlook 2003 as our mail client in the office, and Exchange 2003 as our mail server. When the client attempts to reply to this, or any other, e-mail sent by our founding partner, he keeps getting a popup asking him to authenticate with our mail server.

I have no idea why this is happening, other than maybe the original e-mail sent by our founding partner is referencing something else in Exchange (calendar appointment, note, etc.) that the client cannot view because he is an external client and has no access to our Exchange server.

Anyone ever see this behavior? Sorry I can't provide more details at the moment, as a colleague of mine was just showing me the e-mail with the error description as I was leaving for the day.

Thanks!
