Help with black mid 2008 macbook

Hey guys, I'm planning on buying my first macbook to run photoshop, illustrator and dreamweaver for school. I found a mid 2008 black macbook with 4gigs ram, 640gb hd, and intel core 2 duo 2.4ghz for 600 bucks on craigslist. Should I go for it? or buy a 2010 macbook? Thanks again guys.

Absolutely. I own that exact MB, and it will be cold day in hell before I part with it. It is more than adequate for what you need it to do. I also use a 2010 white MacBook at work and notice little difference.

Does this model have the multitouch trackpad? If not, I wouldn't buy it due to Lion coming out.
